Product Description

1× dsDNA HS Assay Kit enables fast, accurate, and sensitive fluorescent dye-based quantification of double-stranded DNA (dsDNA). The kit is highly selective for dsDNA and demonstrates good linearity within the 0.1–120 ng range. It is also easy to use—simply mix the working solution with the dsDNA sample and run the assay on a Qubit fluorometer or microplate reader. This kit is compatible with Qubit Fluorometer 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0 as well as microplate readers.

Applications

Precise quantification of dsDNA

Key Benefits

High sensitivity: the assay kit is designed to be accurate for initial dsDNA sample concentrations of 0.005 to 120 ng/μL, providing a detection range of 0.1−120 ng.
High specificity: Highly specific to dsDNA and tolerant against contaminants
Fast-binding dye: Requires only 2-minute assay incubation
High stability: Rigorously controlled production ensures lot-to-lot stability
Ease of use & good compatibility

Notes

• Fluorescent dyes are susceptible to photobleaching. Protect from light to minimize photobleaching. • Equilibrate to room temperature and mix well by inverting at least 10 times before use. • Before each use, mix each DNA standard well by inverting and pulse spin for a few seconds (do not vortex). • For your safety, please wear personal protective equipment when using the product. • This product is for research use only.

Application Cases

a)High specificity

Three samples (DNA, RNA, and 1:1 DNA/RNA mix) were assayed within the linear range (0.1–120 ng) using Neo Primaries' and Vendor T's kits. Fluorescence measurements were plotted against sample concentrations (see figure above). The Neo Primaries kit is capable of accurate quantification of dsDNA in the presence of RNA, with comparable performance to Vendor T's product.

b)Broad linear range

Neo Primaries' and Vendor T's kits were used to assay dsDNA samples of varying concentrations. Fluorescence was measured with a Qubit fluorometer. Results indicate good linearity for dsDNA samples within the 0.1–120 ng range.

c)High contaminant tolerance

The DNA standard with a theoretical concentration of 10 ng/μl was tested using the Neo Primaries' and Vendor T's reagents, respectively. The results showed that when the sample contained inhibitors, the Neo Primaries reagent had the same performance as the Vendor T, and the anti-pollution ability was strong.

d)Ease of use
